The Children’s Home

I’ve been sitting on this for an uncomfortably long time (imagine a cushion filled with walnuts), but the news is finally official. Nan Graham and John Glynn at Scribner have just bought the North American rights to a new novel of mine entitled THE CHILDREN’S HOME. You can find out more about the deal, and the novel, here.

Firstly congratulations ( I think! Assuming a pre-empt is what I think it is!). Secondly will look forward to reading it and thirdly hope it’s as good as the wonderful Zero – no pressure there then!

    • Thank you! A pre-empt means Scribner made an offer that was accepted (which is what I think you thought it meant, if you follow!) And I think you’ll like the book. It’s as unusual in its way as ZERO was…

  2. Yeeah! fantastic news dear Charles! Can’t wait to read about the novel (though will have to…) xxx
