Sue Barker’s beard

If, like me, you can’t stomach Cliff Richard you’ll enjoy this piece by Terence Blacker very much.

My mother used to say: If you can’t say anything nice, don’t say anything at all. How wrong she was.

apart from the unforgivable leeched instead of leached, I agree. My dad met Harry Webb when he (dad) was doing national service. Let us simply say that he, a quiff-bearing Teddy Boy of pure London stock, was not impressed with la Webb.

Huh. I hate to confess I’ve never heard of this guy.But the article convinces me I didn’t miss much…

  3. Yes, Kay, pity about the leeched. But you’ll admit he makes up for it with the rest of the article. Some day we should get together and share what we know about CR.And then we can tell David all about him….

I’ve been resisting commenting, but.A while ago, my hairdresser was offering free calendars. “I’m sorry,” he said, late December, “all we’ve got left are Queen Mothers and Cliff Richards.” Actually, he didn’t phrase it quite that way. He is not a fan.

  5. Your hairdresser surely didn’t refer to the medical inconvenience the two are rumoured to have shared?

Kay why wasn’t your dad impressed with Cliff? I like Cliff. He is a Christian and everyone said he is a nice guy. This doesn’t sound like Cliff. He is usually a gentlemen. And what do you mean leeched instead of leached? What Cliff said about the Beatles may have been taken out of context. What medical inconvenience do you mean? Terence Blacker is wrong. Cliff was handsome and looks good to be 67. He can sing good. He has sold 250 million records so someone likes him. He has the talent and he has the voice too. Lucy

What do you mean share all we know about Cliff? All I know Cliff is a Christian and a nice person. Susie

None of you all still have not answered my question. What do you mean tell all you know. Susie
